Présentation du projet

The project involves transforming a former post office in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek into six intergenerational homes, communal areas and a communal garden.

The work was carried out using the existing building as a starting point. The aim is to restore, make visible and improve the existing building in a sustainable and cost-effective way, while making the most of the building’s heritage and its original stylistic features.

The use of bio-based materials is omnipresent: structural solutions, insulation, interior and exterior design.

A project where reuse is intensive: all resources from demolition and dismantling have been inventoried, evaluated and re-injected into the project.

This project is the winner of the Be exemplary 2019 call for projects and the winner of the Belgian Timber Award 2024.
